Background: Hepatitis B (HBV) infection causes a major public health problem around the globe. Therefore, this study aimed to assess Seroprevalence, infectivity, and associated factors of hepatitis virus among pregnant women attending antenatal care in Sankura Primary Hospital, Southern Ethiopia. Methods: A cross-sectional design was conducted Ethiopia, from April June 2020. total 338 were recruited using systematic random sampling. Sociodemographic risk collected through structured questionnaire. Blood samples plasma analysis performed for presence surface antigen (HBsAg) envelope (HBeAg) rapid test strip method. Statistical done SPSS version 20, P-value < 0.05 considered statistically significant. Results: The overall Seroprevalence HBsAg 11 (3.3%) [95% CI 1.5% - 5.0%], whom 2 (18.2%) positive HBeAg. In multivariate analysis, history blood transfusion [AOR=4.8 95% (1.25-6.69)] contact with family liver [AOR=5.7 (1.28-7.9)] found be significant predictors HBV infections. Conclusion: area intermediate. Family disease infection. Hence, improving screening blood, increasing awareness about transmission infection, should implemented. government will build efficient service delivery models equipped an appropriate well-trained workforce.
